Miravalles Hummingbird: Amazilia alfaroana

Body: It is similar to a species of hummingbird found in Colombia, and many dispute its existence and its classification as a species. It is believed to be extinct today, however it lived at the Miravalles Volcano in Northwest Costa Rica. It has a long, curved beak, pale on the bottom, black on top, green upper body, a blue head, and dark blue tail. 

Behavior: Not much is known about its behavior, because it is extinct

Population: The Miravalles Hummingbird is believed to be extinct, last described and documented in 1896.
